Hearts Consulting Group, LLC Hot Blogging

Some of you may be wondering, why all the blogging? It’s unusual for a pest control company, although you see this more and more frequently as a means of communicating a company message. Pest Management Professional Magazine reported this trend toward blogging in the pest control industry. Accompanying all web media is an increased flow of “push media” email to convey the message. Genma Holmes, owner of Holmes Pest Control in Memphis, Tenn. prefers Twitter. You will need a Twitter account to see how she has developed a following with Twitter. (I haven’t figured out Twitter yet, but I’m trying). Of course, Facebook is the latest craze of everyone and every company that wants friends, with approximately one-half billion subscribers!

There will soon be a distinct blog on the Hearts Pest Management website focused on day-to-day operations and entomology. This blog is something other than a pest control company blog. Together with industry articles I am writing, it is my way of transitioning from the owner of Hearts Pest Management to the owner of two companies, including a consulting company that provides services both inside and outside the pest control industry. As time goes on you will see more distinction between these two entities. While I might speak from my experience as a pest control company owner, I am speaking with you as a consultant and advocate for a progressive industry, which I believe will strengthen your company. An article I wrote for PMP in February 2009 called “The Safe Haven of Diversification” is an example of my instructive and predictive writing about the importance of diversifying away from the termite sector. You can find this article easily by first going to my post and clicking on the link. I’d be interested in receiving some comments/replies 18 months after the article was written.

Our current blog logo visually addresses the transition from purely a pest control company to a separate and new consulting company. Soon you will see more of a distinction in the logo to clarify the separation, so that it is clear this is a my consulting blog site.

Arizona based Hearts Consulting Group, LLC has had two wins so far. We have nearly completed Phase One construction of a website devoted to Bugs In My Bed. This website steps back from the bed bug epidemic to the point of inspection, not by the pest control company, but rather the poor guy or gal sleeping in the bed, who wakes up, not knowing what bit him or her. The website has achieved worldwide attention, with active viewers in all 50 states and in over 50 countries. One goal of the website is to provide a neutral ground where pest control companies, real estate professionals, attorneys, tenants, landlords, and medical professionals all have something to learn and gain from. There will be many new additions to this website as well as many similar websites.

Hearts Consulting Group has also now won its’ first website assignment for a company outside the pest control industry, as we start the development for a regional medical center.
